Human Leadership: for improved HR functions!
There have been "managers" and "leaders" in the organisation with two distinct roles. A HBR article, Bailey J. R. (2022), shows every employee needs to be both "leading" and "managing," and the C-level executives possess a balance between leading and managing.

Bailey J. R. (2022) kept a record of the comments of 1,000 executives who were questioned over a fifteen-year period about the distinction between managing and leading. It summarizes that the two roles are still significant and that there should be a balance between leadership and management with the same skills in an organisation.
Leaders need management skills, and managers need leadership skills!
A report by Dixit, R. (2023) shows that on the workplace enhancement front, the importance of an effective leader and manager has grown like a weed with the demand for empathetic, adaptive, and authentic leaders who understand their employees' motivations, needs, and pain points.
What is human leadership?
Leaders to human leadership
On human leadership, Ismil, K. (2022) lists the following ways to encourage leaders toward human leadership:
- Improve company communications
- Prioritize teamwork and collaboration
- Invest in people
- Encourage feedback
- Give recognition, rewards, and compliments
Today's leaders must adapt their strategies to the changing needs of their workforce since employees are demanding a more personalized work experience that meets their specific needs. Flexibility, employee well-being, freedom, education, and support are given first priority, which boosts output and promotes a healthy work-life balance.
In conclusion, emerging human leadership, both leaders and managers, encourages teamwork, collaboration, recognition, rewards, and compliments, which promote a healthy work-life balance.
